Welcome to Jikishin Kenyukai Kendo Club (Inzai City, Chiba)!
Introduction
Kendo is a traditional Japanese martial art, derived from traditional swordsmanship practiced by the Samurai. In the modern Kendo practice, we use bamboo swords (shinai) and protective armors (bogu) instead of metal swords and armors. Jikishin Kenyukai Kendo Club has approximately 30 years history and is designed mainly for elementary school students (6-12 years old). However, we welcome adult students to practice as well. We can start the practice of Kendo at any age! We encourage you to come to our practice place (dojo), meet our teachers (sensei), and observe a practice session (keiko). Dojo (practice place) is located in Inzai City in Chiba prefecture. Please arrange a time to visit our dojo by sending an email below when you come to us at the first time. You will find something interesting!!
